Application Bulletin: Protection for the Pump (Low-Flow) All Nylon Suction Strainers

These all nylon, suction strainers are ideal for use where stainless steel or other metal strainers may corrode or maybe a non-metal strainer that is low flow and low cost can be used. Such applications include, water, including seawater and de-ionized water, medical/pharmaceutical, general industrial, chemical, and coolant/lubricant and are rated to 290 degrees F. They are installed in the suction line, in-tank, whose purpose is to protect the pump for flow rates up to 3 gpm.

They are available in the following sizes: 1/8, ¼, 3/8, ½, ¾ nptf and 3/8, ½, and ¾ nptm and are usually in stock. Their unique construction, molded one-piece nylon offers the equivalent of 30 mesh (595 micron) level of filtration.
